Salzburg Open-Air Museum Großgmain...

The Salzburg Open-Air Museum features 100 original reconstructed farms and historical buildings such as a smithy, a sawmill and an old school.

A tour and a small train route with its own stations take you through the 5 districts of Salzburg, where typical buildings from the old days await your visit.

On Sundays and public holidays, visitors can experience one of the many craft demonstrations, such as bread baking, spinning, lace-making or rake-making.

The grounds are partially barrier-free.

Travel information:

  • Free parking & large bicycle parking lot in front of the area
  • Arrival by public transportation: Postbus 180 from Salzburg main station, stop right next to the museum
