Georg Trakl Research and Memorial Centre Salzburg...

The house on Waagplatz, the birthplace of the Salzburg poet Georg Trakl (1887-1914), is a research and memorial site that can be visited on guided tours.

Testimonies from the poet's life such as manuscripts and personal documents, objects from the family's former home and secondary literature are exhibited here.

The newly designed audio-visual show is helpful as an introduction to finding your way around. The beautiful inner courtyard with its arcades is also admirable.
