Loser Panorama Road Altaussee...

Experience a fog-free ascent on the 9 km long Loser Panorama Road, which is one of the most attractive excursion destinations in the Salzkammergut and offers breathtaking views of the Ausseerland region. At the end of the road - next to a free car park and the Loser Alm mountain restaurant - the ideal starting point at 1,600 m awaits you for numerous hikes and climbing tours up the Loser, its secondary peaks and into the heart of the Tote Gebirge.

The ascent of the impressive mountain road is possible by bus, car, motorbike or bicycle. Enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Niedere Tauern, over the Dachstein glacier to the firn peak of the Großvenediger. Whether you walk the Erzherzog Johann circular hiking trail around the Augstsee lake or dare a flight with a hang glider or paraglider in the popular flying area - everyone will find what they are looking for here.

The Loser panorama via ferrata "Sophie" on the Dirndlwand on the Loser plateau is perfect for all age groups. The "Sisi" panoramic via ferrata owes its name to the empress, who is said to have climbed the Loser under her own steam, and offers a sensational view over the Styrian Salzkammergut and the Dachstein. The Loser Alm mountain restaurant with the highest sun terrace in Ausseerland, as well as the surrounding huts and alpine pastures, provide enjoyable meals.
