The first railway museum in the province of Salzburg.
The museum consists of a new building, a renovated coach house and an outdoor area with remarkable exhibits. The ground floor of the new building hosts annual exhibitions on the Tauern Railway and current events. On the upper floor, the lovingly designed model railway layout attracts all eyes. The numerous stations, viaducts, bridges and tunnels are true-to-scale reproductions of the originals of the Tauern Railway.
Experience railway history in the renovated former coach house, where you can view a collection of restored exhibits. In the museum's outdoor area, the museum locomotive, trolley cars, a track bicycle, signals, the time bridge and a steam locomotive await visitors.
