The Poacher's Museum, unique in Europe, shows in an original way how poaching originated in the Alpine region. The historical and social background of poaching is documented, as well as the punishments of the gamekeepers, poaching fates or the legendary poaching battle of Molln. Designed according to the ideas of the well-known cultural scientist Prof. Dr. Roland Girtler, the exhibition also shows the kitschy poaching romanticism of local films, novels and songs as well as many original poacher's weapons. Changing special exhibitions, a museum shooting range, a photo wall, a painting corner for children and the poacher's shop round off the museum visit.
