The Krimml Waterfalls are Europe's highest waterfalls in the Hohe Tauern National Park. In a very impressive way water masses fall down several steps into the depths. The many viewing platforms offer visitors a safe and good view of this natural experience.
The Krimml Waterfalls are part of the Hohe Tauern National Park and are therefore protected by the National Park Act. In 1967, the Krimml Waterfalls were awarded the Council of Europe's Diploma for Nature Conservation.
